2008 Ends
A year ago, Rachael and I took the ferry over to Waiheke Island to meet up with the others for an epic party at Stonyridge Vineyard. The weather was amazing. We had a light lunch and cheap champagne. The night descended and the monsters came out.
The next morning, Rachael and I ferried back to the city. In the same clothes we wore over. Clutching coffee and our wobbly selves.

It is freezing.
So, according to my weather widget it’s only 3 degrees. But I’m beyond cold. And it’s heading for negative one. GEEEZI!
I need to do the dishes and hang up clothes. But I’m too cold. *shiver*
Surreal
Had my bounenkai (end of year work party) last night. It was at this rather swanky hotel. Many moments had me thinking, howwwwww did I get here? Experiencing a real Japanese work party is funny.
For one, they love their game shows here. While it was nomihodai, the teachers had organised quizzes, bingo, shiritori to play. Fun and funny.

Monday 15th December 10 days till Christmas. Friday - I got the afternoon off school. Jennie and I got the shink to Tokyo at 5. Straight to the hotel dropped off our bags.
